I am three weeks into my new yoga practice.  I have been practicing about 4 times a week.  I have already noticed changes in the following:

My heels can touch the ground during downward facing dog.

My arms feel more toned and I can feel muscle in them.

I can feel abs when I touch my stomach.

My stress level has dramatically reduced.  I am a big worrywart and when I was in grad school last year, I would wake up a zillion times a night worrying about everything under the planet.  Although grad school, there is, of course stress because of my job, money, family, friends, etc.  However, now, when I'm stressed I know I have yoga at the end of the work day and my stress melts away.  I sleep like a baby at night!

I am beginning to feel the need to treat my body and myself better.  What I put into my body in terms of food and drink directly affects how I feel during yoga.  I am beginning to explore this.

Overall, I am ADDICTED to yoga!  Hot, power yoga, in particular.

First Post!

Hi!  This is my first post.  I just began hot yoga last week, and it was an amazing experience.  I have no experience with hot power yoga.  Join me as I continue my journey into the world of yoga, and experiment with different practices, discover the best way to eat, the best lifestyle to live by, and the way yoga transforms!
